MiniMUN Program

Having post-AMUNC blues? Or perhaps you just need that pick me up only a high pressure MUN can bring? To celebrate the return to semester, the UNSW UN Society will be running its first MiniMUN; Crisis in the DMZ. For the first time ever, it will take the format of a simplified Crisis-Council simulation.

Crisis Councils consist of two seperate enclosed cabinets, featuring key government ministers and leaders, who make decisions based on intelligence and decisions made by the opposing cabine
t. Delegates can employ a range of strategies to either drive their country toward peace, or a devastating war.

This semester, the UN Society hopes to bring a range of new MUN styles and topics to our members, including possible ICJ and ICC MUNs, topics ranging from conflict to development, women to reform.

Recent tensions between Pyongyang and Seoul come to the fore as a South Korean airliner disappears over waters binding North Korea and Japan. With fingers being pointed, the risk of an escalation in the conflict forces the opposing cabinets to convene emergency sessions. Will the status quo be held firm, or will the Koreas deteriorate into nuclear war? Only YOU the delegates can decide!

Delegates should register here.
