Extraordinary General Meeting

A reminder that the UN Society’s Extraordinary General Meeting will be held this Thursday 11th March from 1-2 pm in the Marsh room, on the first floor of the Roundhouse. If you’re interested in learning about how the Society works and want to get more involved (either by becoming an executive yourself or by voting for your 2010 executive), please come along to the EGM on Thursday.

Diplomatic Drinks

Join us on the 18th at 18:00 for Diplomatic Drinks, a chance to socialise with the best diplomats in the university. The next UN Society social event will be held on Thursday 18th March from 6 pm. This is our first big social event of the year and will be held in the Club Bar on the first floor of the Roundhouse (climb up the stairs from the Beer Garden). There will be a bar tab for members so make your way down to the Roundhouse.

Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference

AMUNC 2010 - Be part of TeamUNSW

TeamUNSW, the competitive Model UN arm of the UN Society is excited to begin recruitment for the 16th Asia Pacific Model United Nations Conference (AMUNC) at Sydney University in July this year.

This year TeamUNSW hopes to send its largest ever delegation to AMUNC. We have over 60 spots and 8 countries reserved for us at the conference and we will be representing the likes of China, Germany and Nigeria just to name a few. The allocation to TeamUNSW of so many spots and such prestigious countries this year reflects the pedigree and tradition of UNSW Model UN delegates and delegations.

We would love to have you be part of that tradition and join TeamUNSW as we prepare for AMUNC 2010 and beyond.

Special Committee registrations are now open and close on 14th March - so head to the application page to apply for positions on the Security Council, International Court of Justice, International Criminal Court and the Crisis Council.
