Constitution
Preamble
We, the University of New South Wales United Nations Society, believing in the purposes and principles of the United Nations, aim to encourage the community of the University of New South Wales to strive towards a greater understanding of global issues and to inform about the structure of the United Nations, its functions and its future.
To achieve these aims, the UNSW United Nations Society will:
- Promote the philosophy of the United Nations;
- Provide a forum within which the UNSW community can communicate and explore issues and ideas relevant to the United Nations;
- Provide an avenue for involvement in events of the United Nations external to the society;
- Engage students in issues that hold relevance to their future professions and personal interests
This Society's members are committed volunteers, who act on the basis of goodwill, within the structure of the United Nations.

The Constitution was revised during 2008 to be in compliance with the new ARC rules for clubs and societies. Since it is such a massive job to post the new one up here, it will have to wait until the IT Officer has time. :P
Our old constitution can be downloaded here as a Word document.
